Some of the entrants in this year’s Miss Viet Oz competition
THE Vietnamese community is looking for the next Jennifer Hawkins.
Twenty girls will be competing for the Miss Viet Oz crown on April 2 at Mounties, and hosted by Vietlish’s Joseph Hieu Dinh.
They will get some practice this Sunday with a fashion parade of traditional Vietnamese dresses in Cabramatta’s Freedom Plaza at 1.45pm as part of the Lunar New Year celebrations.
The pageant is open to women aged 17 to 27, with a Vietnamese background living in Australia.
On top of the formal and swimwear categories, the top five girls will have to answer questions from the judges.
The finalist are all in the running for Miss Photogenic, Miss Congeniality, Miss People’s Choice and Miss Aodai (traditional dress) titles.
You can vote for the people’s choice award at Mounties in the lead-up to the final.
